Your summer holidays in Bol
Bol – small town on the southern coast of island of Brač is a unique summer resort on Adriatic. Due to a rare morphological feature of the coast and mountains above it, about two kilometers from the town there is a several hundred meters long beach that stretches towards the neighbouring Hvar like a never completed road. With crystal blue sea and nearly constant breeze during the day time this is the most famous windsurfing spot on Adriatic coast and is famous worldwide. Beneath the canopy of mediterranean pine a beatiful paved promenade leads to the beach. The promenade turns into a road and continues further to the neighbouring hillside village Murvica, an ancient hamlet built two hundred meters above the sea level where its inhabitants tried to protect themselves from pirates and Turkish navy several hundered years ago.
How to spend time in Bol besides basking in the sun on the famous 'Zlatni rat' or numerous small beaches in the vicinity? Several excellent hotels, camps and numerous restaurants complete the Bol's tourist offer. Bicycle is the best friend while in Bol. Long walks or rides on bikes are the best way to recover from busy year and prepare for the next one.
